Well done mate - you always seem to cut straight to the point. I think you are right on the button with your observations about the "When did you decide this" reaction in production meetings. I think you are all learning a lot and yes, consultation and collaboration is important, but, at the same time, it is vital that people are trusted and allowed to do their jobs without the rest of the team attacking them. For example, no production is ever directed or produced "by committee" with any success. Individuals must have the vision and freedom to make things happen. I will speak to the whole group tomorrow about reading each other's blogs as there is a wealth of information there that is valuable to everyone. As far as Joseph is concerned, if you are still interested in doing it, you had better see me first thing tomorrow (Wednesday) morning and we will sort it out, as you were about as much use as a pitchfork in a shovelling competition today. Also - i see what you mean with starting on ideas when you dont have enough feedback or people aren't aware - it sounds to me like we desperately need a production meeting all together to inform one another of whats going on in our stagecraft areas and give eachother feedback (all part of working collaboratively) and this will avoid later arguments too.
